to me they look like someone stole the hubcaps off your car, or you are rolling around on spare tires. on white cars you get no contrast so it basically looks like your car has no wheels. i'm pretty sure the first guy that came up with blacked out rims was too lazy to wash the brake dust off his wheels and decided to paint them black.
I think you just answered the question- brake dust- it’s also why I like the sports exhaust-can’t see the carbon buildup Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app

It looks a bit ghetto for such a high end vehicle. Not as much of an issue for lesser (all other) cars.
It looks agressive, not ghetto to me.Here is mine Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Depends on the wheel design and car color. Silver wheels are kind of blingy unless their is a matte or satin finish.
i see you get the chrome front grill edges. imagine how a nice silver alloy wheel would carry that look around the car!
They were like that and the car looked really poor; hence changed them. Black is the trend these days. Don’t have to like it but that’s the way it is Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What I would say though is that, imo anything before the 360 looks terrible with black rims. Even the 360 that are too modded are bad taste to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I love blacked out rims but only if the lip is coloured. This was my GT3 Touring, a car I loved and miss. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Only black rims I wouldn’t mind are the carbon fiber ones. Otherwise I feel you lose the shape and character of an otherwise interesting wheel.
My dilemma is I like black rims and exhaust tips for their easy care but unfortunately I also love black cars which are a pain to keep clean. My current 812 is black all around but I did warm to my prior CdF 488 spider but withdrawal set in and it was back to black[emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Eye of the beholder. To me, most don’t look better but agree on a few it can be a nice look. Because it’s a “trend “, see way to many that IMHO don’t enhance the cars natural beauty. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Its just what you like, variety is the spice of life and all that stuff. Personally, I usually don't like black wheels, but then, I've learned, for every time I think I've made a rule, I find an exception that I think is amazing.
Yea it's all subjective. I don't really like chrome or black wheels but plenty of people do and I have no problem with that. Brake dust is a moot point since a lot of these supercars have CCBs, but on a car with steel brakes it does make a difference.
Its a misnomer that black wheels need a lot less cleaning. I have two cars with black wheels and while brake dust is not too noticeable they do show all other kinds of dirt that is lighter than black. They are also pretty hard to get back to original condition. I would imagine that Ferraris get the detailing love though.
I will only drive with black rims. The beauty of owning a car is you can do whatever you want regardless if other people like it or not.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk View attachment 2903057
