Ummm this is the 458/488f8 forum. It doesn't need to be moved.

Talk about the f8 doesn't need to be in only one thread nor will it be.

Either Trail Rated rear wheel arch or they installed the front lift in the back. Only other explanation is someone installed a 13" diameter wheel. Place Novitec phone number on speed dial. :)

That’s just how it comes. Can be lowered slightly.

I’ve always wondered why so much factory wheel gap.

I have the impression that the European cars are slightly lower (although not by much).

When I got my lambo the wheel gap drove me nuts. I couldn’t un-see it. I instantly had it lowered. Lowered around 1.25” and that may not seem like a lot but it looks 10 times better than it did. That car came with adjustable factory coil’s. The ride quality didn’t change and it just looks so much better and handles better in the corners also. I just would love to know the main reason Ferrari and Lamborghini do this.

Yeah, I had both my 488's lowered on the factory springs. Made a nice difference. Not sure if this can be done to the F8.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe most Ferrari mid engine V8's can easily be lowered approx 22mm (to European Spec) with stock suspension (coilovers) and then a simple re-alignment.

I did this with my Scud and (IMO) it made it look much more aggressive/sporty.

My guess is Ferrari has to leave "the gap" to comply with various regulations regarding ground clearance...but somehow...Porsche does not have to do this (especially with their GT cars).

I believe this true unless you have the front lift system, then requires spring change as well.

Both my 488's had the lift. They just can't lower it as much.
