    Intermittent problem, Ignition light / Alternator light dims when cranking and will not start. If it doesn't dim it starts. Help.

    Multi meter onto the battery and see how far the volts drop when starting, should be min of 10.5 volts

    Better than i was expecting. Sounds like battery is in reasonable nick.
    Have a look at the starter solenoid and see what the resistance is over the terminals.
    Sounds like you are getting 2 different loads when starting, one is pulling the volts down and not starting.
    Starter or its solenoid ? I had a repair kit fitted to my starter motor , no idea if still available

    The voltage drop seems to be on the spark side with the starter cranking like it should.

    You could check for 12V @ the ignition modules.

    The key switch should have 2 yellow wires, one goes to the coil supply and the other goes to the ignition module i think, if i remember correct this is in the rear passenger wheel well with a multipin plug. Can send u the wiring dia if you need it

    Yes please, I presume it is something upstream a main feed as it effects both banks, I know it would start and run on one bank if one was ok.

    Looking at the fuse box, the bottom right relay is for the ignition switch, bosch 0332014113. Is this working.
    Try swap with relay “Q” middle row 4 in from the right. Same relay but for low beams

    Main ground strap is between engine and chassis. Over chassis tubes to negative battery. Dont forget the main switch near the battery. They always gives problems of bad contact. Remove this or put an other that can be put directly on the negative pole.
    Some relais in the WSM and users manual are wrong put on the picture.
    This is how the relais have to be put ;

    For better negative connections you can reed/do this :

    Little update on this, working down chain, earthing out battery, checking battery switch, I have sprayed electrical contact cleaner down the ignition/ key barrel then some WD40 and it starts every time now. I am not sure if this is the fix or not but i’m happy!
