I think Vettel should be kept for just one more season, maybe 2 max in line with the new cars. However, if Shaarl can demonstrate car development, they should go for Dan Ricci.

No one will want him without a massive cut in pay. Even then, he is Haas fodder.

 

Ferrari's problem isn't one driver, it is their car and the people running the team. Replacing Vettel won't accomplish anything at this point. And Riccardo is a good driver who's time has passed. He is now an also-ran...perfect for Renault. Max was faster than Ricci and that took all the stuffing out of DR. Just as DR being faster than Vettal was a punch in the stomach to Seb. Assuming there actually is a 2021 season, I see both Max and Leclerc sharing the spotlight at Mercedes. And the grid shrinking to 16 cars...Haas folding...and Honda buying Torro Rosso and Williams and merging them. It could even get down to 14 cars if Ferrari and Sauber Alfa merged. And down to 12 cars if McLaren and Renault became one team. At that point F1 will have to have live human sacrifices to fill the seats.

 

Vettel after Ferrari? Hmm, haven't I seen that movie before? Ah yes, Massa. I'm sure Williams will be happy to pick up the over-the-hill champion. Should be good.
