Be strong. If you're 60+ with underlying medical conditions, then contact your doctor and make sure you've enough prescription meds. In such a case, I would be prudent and limit contact. Now is the time for concern not hysteria IMO. Modern science is a miracle. Smart people are on this. If politicians stay out of the way, I think we'll see treatment and vaccines in short order...T
Albert, where you live in Modena and which Ferrari you drive? Perhaps you can write some ideas for driving in the hills from Maranello, when I come the next time to Italy to visit Maranello with my Maranello or my F512GTB. We dream from a Life after Corona..... https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/visit-modena-maranello-st-agata-bolognese-and-campogalliano.602405/
You are welcome, Tim. I only drive an old car, a 308. But I do know a lot of very nice roads around Maranello, where once Ferrari tested all cars and prototypes and still today they sometimes test prototypes. Once the Maranello - Serramazzoni - Pozza - Maranello was the official test route, now replaced by Modena - Sassuolo motorway and Pedemontana road. Still today they test prototypes around Puianello village, that has nice mountain roads: the F40 brakes and its Pzero were tested exactly there. Ciao
Does it start loosing boost? Today here it's almost like being in a desert. Maybe starting from next week we will see some result. We where all very scared about the two days ago big jump, but yesterday and today (crossing my fingers) it looks not so frightening. ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I pray that the conclusions of reduced transmission at elevated temps are true. Can you explain the colors in the top graph? I assume total cases, active, recovered, fatalities (RIP)...T
Yellow = infected from the beginning Black = active cases (Yellow minus green and minus red) Green= recovered Red = fatalities But it looks data are not updated yet, the site is temporary down now: they say today there are 2000 new infected. Let's see, here since yesterday there is the lockdown, they are telling us not moving from home unless "unavoidable". If they had told that from the beginning, we wouldn't be at this point. Be prepared, the virus is everywhere, the only safe place is your home: this is what No.1 virologist from San Raffaele Institute told us today. Virus already is very spread in Spain, France, Swiss, Germany and starts hitting hard also in the U.S. and in every other coutry. Data show that the Chinese were right: you have to block people at home for weeks or months. ciao Edit: confirmed+2300 infected today, the site cameback online. Almost 200 fatalities today, that's not slowing down, it's speeding up Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi...Not an important concern in this time, but curious. Can you hop in your Ferrari and go for a ride, assuming that you don't leave your district? Or, are people confined to their houses? T
Thanks for the tips. I see the prototypes in the mountains, but taking pictures quickly was a problem. I also saw the fixed speed traps. I thought of tips like the company Vaccari & Bosi in Pievepelago who once built the frame of the 512 tr. Frame construction. Apart from the museums and shops, there is nothing going on in Maranello. I have put a lot of effort into and around Maranello to see a lot. Was also in the old Bugatti factory, see my travelogue. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/visit-modena-maranello-st-agata-bolognese-and-campogalliano.602405/
I visited Bugatti factory in 1989, as they called me for a work opportunity. It was a fantastic place, really incredible at those times. Ciao
Italian Prime minister Giuseppe Conte signed this evening the shutdown act. Starting from tomorrow everything that is not necessary must stay closed: bar, pubs, restaurants, shops, offices as already are closed cinemas and so on. Food and primary necessities shops can stay open. Factories haven't to close, but they are asked to reduce workers to the lowest level possible. Will last two weeks, renewable. Ciao
Reigning Italian champion Juventus football club player Daniele Rugani is infected. Juventus and Inter football club are quarantined. Italian Football Championship is very questionable at the moment (it had to be stopped before, in my opinion) and looks it will be stopped. ciao
Italy this morning is an empty desert, everywhere, including Colosseo, Fontana di Trevi, piazza San Marco in Venice and so on. Also in my small village nobody is moving except some trucks. Police is checking why you are there, where are you going and asks you the filled form with written where are you going and why. You cannot anymore go out for jogging or driving your Ferrari unless you are going to work or some necessities Ciao
