Yeah, Fabio is persona non grata on this board. I'm too new here (a mere 4 years) to know the backstory.
My headers from Fabio arrived on Monday. I want a second set just to hang on my wall. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The pieces are CNC cut and welded in a jig. So no room for any play or misaligning.... Which is the truth about so much other brands of afternarket exhaust. The original is actually the second best after Fabio’s !!
It's like a custom made suit by a master taylor. Historian Griffith Borgeson described Fabio's region "It's an incredible place where master pattern makers are a dime a dozen and skilled metal workers of every kind seem to surge out of the black humus." And "absurdly gifted artisans abound". Has to be the water.
I showed a picture of Fabio’s jig to a friend who is a master fabricator and he was in awe of the quality and attention to detail. Fabio sent me photos of every step of the process, which definitely added to the fun anticipation (like Christmas!), and it was also really educational for a non-fabricator like myself to get a peek inside the process of such beauty being born. They’ve been sitting in the open crate in my entry way all week, so I get to admire them every time I leave and return to the house. (“off-road use only” ) Image Unavailable, Please Login
This exhaust was taken off my 575 but was made for a 550. It is loud. Anyone interested in buying it? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Looks great. Sorry to hear about that terrible situation in Italy and the rest of the world. Did you have to remove the bumper cover to do the mufflers exchange?
Fabio's straight rear muffler delete pipes installed. Easy installation, no need to remove bumper cover, just put painters tape around the bumper tail pipe cut outs to protect the paint during installation. Boy, does it sound awesome. Initial impression is that they are not any louder than the Tubi's that were on there before, but the annoying low RPM drone seems to be gone. Will post a video w/ sound soon.
I recommend checking out his site and reaching out to him for a quote. Just dropped my car off with the installer and it should be ready by end of week. Stay tuned for videos
A friend of mine from Sud Tirol decided to Classiche certify his 550 and had to go back to stock as a result. Traded me his Fuchs exhaust last spring. Very happy with them. Not overbearing. Quality is what you would expect from Germany too. Pic prior to cleaning them Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just picked my car up from the mechanics. The Fabio system is transformative- still refined in “quiet” mode but with a greater sense that there is a large petrol engine powering you along, but then under load in “loud” mode it creates a wonderful angry snarl that evokes race and road cars of old. I’m delighted. bamaman - as per niftyfivefifty, thoroughly recommend you get in touch with him.
Hi Jason. I also have the impression that these Fuchs mufflers are probably one of the very best. If you look at their website it is written «no resonance / drone». They are actually made in the UK for German Cargraphic Fuchs. Fuchs also have delivered exhaust to Novitec aswell. Not shure which models this apply for. At least for 360. But not sure for 550/575, probably not. Fuchs also have a smart controller that makes you choose to either let the flaps open at a specific rpm. level or at a throttle opening level. These can be personally set. I think it is a great idea and I am looking to buy one of these controlers. The flaps open at 4000 rpm. and that is too late in my opinion. Should open at 2000! DZ96 here have Fuchs and Fabio headers. I think that was the best of all 550/575 sounds! So I just bough a set of these Fuchs valved mufflers myself. Will be interesting to see how long time it take to send them from Bonn in Germany to Nice in France in these days... just a question, -is it much difference in volume/sound from closed to open position?
