Got the antenna working yesterday and finished the interior. Rims painted after 30 hours of sanding and prep. Maybe done end of next weekend if my wife will let me get away. A few polish items on the outside to dial that in.

    There is a light.

Interior facelift: replaced torn leather on the drivers seat, re-upholstered the armrest in leather, replaced the emblem on the ashtray, cleaned all the carpet, replaced the climate control bezel, re-chromed the shift plate, & re-dyed the seats, console, and door panels.

    Not today but this winter:
Front valance (deep) repainted. Good match with FER300/6. Never been off, lots of body seal covering last 2 screws in wheel house.
New bushings to Koni:s. Ordered Hill Engineerings tool for this, would not have managed without. Old eccentric, car is now a little higher.
    Brake fluid, oil & filter.

I think the lighting on your silver tank makes it look like it has a swollen ridge on top of it.
It should be smooth not bulged. Mine is flat on top but it can look a bit bulged due to the light coming in from the side under the engine lid.
(the sticker has since been replaced :) )

Since I’m sheltering in place for the foreseeable future I decided to tackle a job I’ve been putting off: I am replacing the plastic fuel injection lines on my 328GTB.

I bought the complete fuel line kit from Unobtainium Supply, complete with the tool needed to insert the new plastic lines onto the barbed metal lines.

Before you can install the new plastic lines you need to remove the old ones. Getting the injector lines out of the car is a little fiddly but the tougher part is pulling the old plastic line off of the barbed metal ends. Using force or a razor blade could damage the metal barbs so I tried the following: using a soldering gun I gently melted the plastic line along the joint with the metal line. While the melted plastic is still warm and pliable a sharp tug frees the line easy as pie.

(It goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyway...blow any residual gasoline out of the line before working on it).

I’ll post another progress report over the next few days.

The next step in replacing the plastic fuel lines is to cut the new lines to the exact length of the old ones. This can be challenging because the old lines are stiff and bent in three dimensions. The solution is to insert a piece of wire hanger into the old line to hold it straight while you measure and cut the new line. Be sure to use a very sharp x-acto knife with a new blade and cut it straight across.

    More to come...

Tank was sealed and tested this week. Reinstalled it this morning since no sports are on to watch.

It's no illusion. My 85 QV painted black aluminum tank from Superformance does swell up. Also the cap won't close squarely with the tank. I tried different caps and they all ended up in diamond position. Don't mind to put a OEM back on if I can find one that doesn't cost an arm & leg.
