more progress- inspection test - CHECK passed Tx Safety Mult to/from trips SA - HOU - CHECK Auto-cross this weekend - CHECK..... nothing fell off or caught fire. Car is not setup or intended to be setup for AX..... it will go 56mph in 1st gear (296 mph top spd 6th LOL) 3.23 M3 diff ..... .... so entire ax in 1st gear not optimal.(3.91 gear set on deck).... and rolling on stock susp, brakes, and 5yr old all seasons...... but this is just another shake-down before I start to outfit car for HPDE -..... coil overs, bbk, big wheels/sticky tires.... safety equip...... super happy with the drive-train..... seems bullet proof, and 'hardly' under much load/stress pushing this snithchel around. Update - big news this friday.... uncorked this engine finally.... it had put down a low 405hp and the wheels last tune...... kept bugging me... it just did not feel right for the LS and mods...... so installed a ported fast intake/tb.... and got it retuned by another shop...... that spec in vettes... very fast lsx cars....... car put down 485hp at the wheels.... totally transformed this thing....
forced induction may be different with a brutual tq curve.. my rather linear n/a hp/tq curve is very managable in the old bimmer.
IMO supercharge it with a Rotrex. Did a Rotrex on a MR2 2 litre ( Forged engine ) 500 WPH. Totally manageable as it very linear being a super charger and not a Turbo. Plus you wont lose any of the N/A sound or feeling just more power like another 2 cylinders added.
2 litre engine 1st version very little Rotrex. OEM about 175 RWHP ( 125 KWS ) TURNED INTO > THAN DOUBLE 363 RWHP ( 270 KWS ) Then I added the mother of the Rotrex and went > 500 RWHP. Check out a BMW forums with Rotrex's Image Unavailable, Please Login
