Yes, yesterday we had that terrific jump. Bergamo cemetery workers cannot follow the death rate and hearses have to wait outside and leave coffins in the cemetery church

here it's a disaster, with a big growth in Bergamo and Brescia area and we had the first infecteds in my small village too. This thing is spreading everywhere. One of the highest infected/population ratio is in Iceland! Spain is at 8 k, France and Germany at 6k, the small Swiss has 2200 infected! USA are around 4 k and they are growing on at high speed.

    ciao

I really can’t understand how this is possible for the virus to spread at such speed. This is insane. How do these people feel that are loosing loved ones and not being able to have a funeral.

they just told they need more or less others 10 days to start seeing some virus slow down in the North of Italy, hoping that meanwhile it won't deflagrate at South too.

Thye told the virus 99.9% spreads through droplets, so the only real protection is staying at a safety distance to avoid droplets on your face and wash your hands to remove the droplets they can have touched/received.

No shoe washing is required, no cloth burning and so on: just basic safety rules.

Great to hear from you today. The chart is really discouraging. How can there be such a large increase with all that has been done to limit contact between people? I don't understand how this could be.

Millions of Italians still work, and when you work you cannot always respect the safety distance. Hospitals are open, food shop are open, electricians work, plumbers work, post offices work, truck driver work an so on

And then two weekend ago people did stupid things.

Young boys are not always respectful of what they are asked to do, so it's not easy to maintain the quarantine

spoke to my Aunt in Paris this AM. she is 92 God Bless her! She promised me she is staying in, and has plenty of food/wine/medicine for 2 months...LOL
but I hope they take her car keys away! The Health system has converted over to COVID19 service and "normal" emergencies. Doctor visits for routine things and elective surgery are cancelled until further notice. My Aunt was supposed to have eye surgery and they told her it would have to wait.

    475? OMG prayers your way.
This is all a snowball effect I imagine: confinement measures take time to see effects& the incubation is like 5 days.
Additionally hospitals are full so hard to treat anyone.
