Hello all. I'm new on here and I'm currently not a Ferrari owner but I hope to change that within the next 12 months. I've got my sights set on an F430 F1 and so would appreciate any advise on what to look out for when selecting a car and what options are desireable and vice versa. Cheers!

I'm sure. Having owned an R8 V8 for 4 years and then making the mistake of going in to an F80 M3 (which I had for less than 12 months!) I'm desperate to get back in to something that makes you feel special! Always dreamed of owning a Ferrari but have always been scared off by maintenance costs but the F430 seems to be fairly bullet proof and servicing is in the real world. The low depreciation is also a huge factor when financing a car of this value as I am no millionaire and can't afford to be dropping £10's of thousands while the thing sits most of the time in my garage! Seen a few sub £70k examples over here in the UK but I think that more realistically I need to be setting my sights a little higher at around £90k to get a good spec low mileage car.

When CS is back up; check UK forum below. Ask there as well for specific UK advise regarding such things as ppi etc.

    good luck and enjoy.

plenty of info in the 430 forum. i looked for red over tan, deviated stitching, yellow tach, daytonas, carbon fiber dash and driving zone, and leather headliner and shelf

f1 actuator, headers (exhaust manifolds) are the 2 big ones.

Buy the newest one you can afford as Ferrari will make enhancements along the model life. I had an 08' that was flawless. I had it tuned and added exhaust and headers. It ran super strong and sounded incredible.

What aftermarket exhausts are normally recommended? I had a Larini Club Sport on my R8 and it was LOUD! Too loud really for normal driving conditions.

I had Fabspeed headers with the blankets and S-line exhaust. With the tune I added ~60HP which is a ton for a NA car. If you search my username you will see the details and dyno results.
