    We have a spring break trip planned to Machu Pichu, wondering how things are in Lima and the sacred valley region? Should we cancel it or better to go and get away from the local chaos?

    Is Machu Picchu closed due to coronavirus COVID-19?
    Yes, Machu Picchu is closed. As part of the State of Emergency declared 15th March to last 2 weeks.

    I’m from Colombia but have i travel often and also work with Peru. You should cancel the trip peru is totally close, you cant mobe anywhere and even machupichu is closed. You can re arrange for a much later date. Send me a PM if I can assist you with something

    Thank you for your response. We ended up canceling the trip but look forward to eventually going to MP hopefully next Spring.
