The issue is most shops will paint the bumper flat, as in off the car, flat.

So that labor escalates quickly......so sorry but glad it's ok!

It's true, looking at the estimate the amount of new parts is minimal, the labor is the big piece.

The costs of modern paint is off the charts also!

Hit a bollard in my Toyota Tacoma (its only been there for the ten years I've been here!)

    Imitation left fender = $37.50
    Paint/Install = $340.00

But I did just drive right thru the Body Shop!
    Took less than an hour!

Our Ferraris are little more involved.

George, sorry this happened, but I have to say you have an admirable attitude.

Hopefully your wheels come out as you expect. My experience has been when they are refinished they do not have the same shine as the originals. If this is the case, at least all 4 will match.

I've never had a bad experience with having wheels redone. We shall see.

Donald- Yup, that is what I would say if I manufactured summer tires for CYA. In real life, they work fine with reduced traction.

Wow George, I had forgotten about you. That was a fairly long process. Looks like everything should be A-OK, but the wheels did lose that shine.

I took my car out on this beautiful day for a 2 hour spirited drive. It reminded why I own this car in the first place!

Happy you are enjoying the car again!

Sorry to see that sad outcome. I know exactly how you must feel. It looks cosmetic though.

I took the car out today, 35 degrees, dry roads with no salt. Not fast and not far, just warmed her up and put her away.

Sounds good. Raining like crazy here so no driving if not needed (I DD my car often). It is better than the 360 in the rain. That car hydroplaned very badly; this car not so much. Stay safe and have fun.
