$71,500. 1997 Red/Tan Manual Trans 355 Spider. 31,300 miles. Immaculate, no excuses, no cover up's. Has only had 2 previous private owners. I have owned the car since 2008. This stunning 355 was originally purchased at Ferrari Of San Francisco, and spent its entire babied life in California (with an exception of a 1 year work assignment in Austin, Texas, and I brought the car with me). This gorgeous sounding 355 sports a Tubi muffler Engine out belt service was performed at an FNA Dealer less than 500 miles ago ! The FNA Dealer completed the Engine Out Service included: replacing timing belts, T-belt tensioners, rebuilt water pump, all new accessory belts, oil / filter, clutch master cylinder, new brake fluid, new fuel filter, new air filters, fuel injectors removed cleaned and inspected. The seat potentiometers were replaced and the top functions flawlessly, video is available upon request. Previous owner had the headers, cats, and the slow down ECU replaced. Car is located in SoCal, recently passed stringent Cali Smog, Reg current to August 2020. Don’t mean to sound ignorant, but has anyone ever checked the valve guides? Would this still have the soft brass version? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I thought it was for 1995 models and even if it wasn't at the mileage of above you would have seen it fail already Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
There was absolutely no mention from the Factory Ferrari Techof any valve guide issue at last engine out service. Compression numbers were solid and all even. Subsequent to the engine out belt service the car passes Cali Smog Check on a dyno type roller at cruising and idle speeds. HC’s were virtually non-existent. Between those two litmus tests I would deduct that there is no valve guide issue present.
Hey Dusty, I haven’t forgot about the video of the 355 with Tubi I owe you. It’s been a little rainy down here too. Need to get oil up to temp before I can go past 3500 rpm. Darn rain.
Image Unavailable, Please Login Taken this very minute. It’s actually raining in “sunny SoCal”. Usually what we call raining, you call misting.
I have never had the pleasure of driving one but I think the 355s are gorgeous and will be even more desirable than they are now in the near future. glws
Love Cali cars- every car I’ve bought in Cali has been stellar. Wish this was a coupe- I would’ve flown in to check it out. GLWS sir! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey... I am not sure how to contact you about this car... Can you email me at [email protected] with contact details? Thanks! Scott
sweet car...valve guides can be replaced...this car looks immaculate and i wldnt let the guides stop me from buying it...i wld have the guides done and then this thing is 100% all day. i just spent the past few days driving my berlinetta after 10 yrs of hibernation and i was slightly afraid it wldnt impress me the way it did...and after the first few mins i was completely in love all over again. at these prices every ferrari enthusiast shld own a 355. truly timeless in design and emotion. so so enjoyable on the streets.
