Thanks, Not completely happy with the interior of my 550, as the previous owner although did a great job with the workmanship, chose colour combos that i would like to tone down. cheers. m

Delivering essential supplies to my 82 year old mother. Pictures taken at the M1 services just north of London, normally one the busiest service areas in the country. It was just me and a row of parked up buses. Beautiful day for driving, sunny, no wind and of course zero traffic. I wasn’t around in the 1950s but I imagine it was like a quiet day in 1951. There were two idiots, though, in souped up Merc and a Golf with quad pipes, who swerved around trying to race me. On the empty streets it was almost tempting. I think most people are just used to seeing them in blue or grey that has become the preferred color. I honestly was leaning towards those colors as well until I went to check this one out on a whim while I was on vacation in FL. Fell in love with the color and then started to gather all the DD. I have some sorting to do and will be active on the forums for advice along the way. Looking forward to sharing pictures and stories with the community.
Congratulastions, Maurizio. That is quite beautiful! I look forward to watching the journey and helping where I can. Great cars.
Congrats. She's a beauty. Hope to see it out and about in the road once the current pandemic is past. T
BTW, Maurizio, is your new car VIN # 115849, a 1999 456M GTA? I keep a register of all the US Ms and would like to keep that one up to date. Thanks.
Yes that is it. Yeah, I will be out on the road even before the pandemic has past, I want to make sure I get to enjoy it if this pandemic turns out to be worse then people are expecting. Just going to take the family and go for a joy ride just to get out. But I do look forward to the end of this pandemic so that I could attend local meet ups.
Agree with this. Despite the pandemic and lockdown, I can't see why an A to A drive where you come into contact with nobody is a breach of the guidance. And the roads are empty.
