That is a very "aggressive" (Obnoxious?)(In your face?)(Unrefined?) body side for a simple sedan. The C-pillar is somewhat interesting.
That looks like just about everything else on the road that has 4 doors. I really hate the creases they all put on the sides. Not that a well placed crease cant be good, but this is getting stupid. It all started with that Transformer's cartoon garbage.
This place hasn’t moved in a while, decided to throw a clay concept out there and let you guess who the manufacturer was.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I want to say Chrysler but that is either of the 2 studio wings that would have been used at that time. Nor is it the digitizing labs in the basement where they did the scanning. That said, one of the traits of Chrysler in the year to couple years just before when this was likely done was that minimum bend sheetmetal radiuses were not modeled but left with gut string. It makes their clays appear even more hard edged which this one looks to exhibit in the groove down the body side. This also has a very close iteration of the the 1980 Dodge Charger's grill and headlight buckets.
Since this response must mean it's not what people have guessed, (regardless of what the photos name is) I believe this must be a concept for a Mitsubishi branded K car based Diamond Star Motors product.
And you may ask yourself, where is that large automobile ? . Answer, not from any Chrysler dealer. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It resembled a K to such a degree, thought I would put the model up for examination to our esteemed resident panel of experts-at-large, who all did very well. I was astonished it hadn’t an ounce of Chrysler DNA. A shame they went under after all those years through tragedy and Madoff. Thanks all who participated.
