What a great car!!! I have always wanted one of these. Never had the right car, right place, right time. If you ever get this one, I want it!!! BTW, thank you for your service and love the stories.
Thanks Steve. That one's always been in my top 3 "Dream Cars", and I've never even driven one. I just love the rally look, and they're so small! If I nab it, I'll let you know! Another shot for you Image Unavailable, Please Login
This one is only interesting if you like cars built by a company that didn't like profit I WANTED to buy it, but ran out of money, and couldn't get it done. They always have a place in my heart. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Three Maserati Ghibli's and Brian Rodman's Lola T332 It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... But honestly, this was amazing. I had been involved in cars for about 2 years, and chatting with a gentleman in Nevada. He owned 4 Maserati Ghibli's. 1 4.9 SS and 3 4.7 variants. It took me 2 years to invite myself to his ranch in Modesto CA, but finally, we agreed on a day and time, and on a plane I went. When we got to his farm, he had a massive old barn, and we slid the doors back. In front of us were 3 Ghibli's, all in various conditions. One even had a pair of Daytona Cromodora knock off wheels. To my left, was a blue tarp, and a LARGE amount of pigeon poop stained it, and the massive rubber slick that peaked it's head out from under the tarp. "What's that?" I casually mentioned. "That? Oh, that's Brian Rodman's Championship winning T332..." HOLY **** So, after acting un surprised, and thus giving away my giddiness, we proceeded to inspect all 3 Ghibli's. Car #008 (the one poking out of the barn) was rumored to have been Henry Ford's (whatever son by then lol) personally ordered car, and the 4th Ghibli off the line. (later in life, my business found the first Ghibli built, in a chicken coop, in Arkansas...and bought it, but that's a different story). Things were said, hands were shaken, and we owned 3 Ghibli's! Month's later, we went back after a LARGE amount of research, and brought Brian's car home, along with the log books. After a fair amount of diligence, we could show it was in fact a car used during his 1975 Championship F5000 Season. It was funny because we called him and asked. He was like "I don't remember serial or tub numbers guys, they put me in a car, and I drove as fast as I could". Later, BaT in it's earlier days profiled the car, and it ended up going to AUS/NZ, where I'm sure it was rebuilt and is being raced still.... https://bringatrailer.com/2011/05/06/f5000-barn-find-brian-redman-1974-lola-t332/ Twas a magical time in my life Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Bill, how's this for irony? In 2010, the SECOND month of me getting into vintage and brokering, you and I spoke. I called you about finding a Ghibli, and you referred me to your friend Archie. Small world man.
My first "grown up car" purchase, a 2003 EVO VIII. Owned it for 1 month. Could only afford it for 1 month! LOL A sweet 4.7 Ghibli project in Kentucky. Still haven't been able to buy that car. My friends 246 Dino he has insured for $40K, cuz he literally doesn't give AF. And, sadly, a friends Ghia 1500GT, that my best friend SHOULD of bought for $10K but didn't have the money at the time, and off it went to Europe. It has a GTV engine. Hmm...I'm not sure. I don't think so, but I could be wrong. The owner had owned it for a really long time and I think stripped it to what it appeared like in this photo here. I'd have to go back in my records and look though. It was a 1970 if that helps.
You’d think it’s out of my wheel house. But I couldn’t pass it up... I brought this home in December to replace my wife’s Yukon. And she was like “no” LOL So. Cream puff cream central. 54k miles. And to the world she goes!!! https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2001-jeep-cherokee-34/ wish me luck! Image Unavailable, Please Login
One of one 1969 corvette with two options that separated it from the other 16,500 produced that year. It has the L-89 aluminum heads and the factory side pipes. Boiling this down with color combination and options and it’s a one of one. Pretty cool piece of American automotive history. I’m excited! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I haven't updated this for a bit, but, as with many, lots of time on my hands...lol hmmmmmm. my photos didn't load....hang on here's a 1980 Merak SS I probably should've bought but didnt 3-4 years ago A Twin Cam MGA, bought in 2016, TWO ENGINE rebuilds later....I think we lost money lol A Giulia sprint, which, is likely GOOD I didn't buy... This Isetta, I wish I had bought...It was so cute! A Montreal...couldn't get together on price And lastly for today, a Rivolta, I really liked. Cool ass owner too.
probably a good thing I didn't see this 2 months ago... I grew up in Cherokees. what total piles of crap, but damn I want one
I'd be curious to know what happened as well. Hope it stays in the US. I'm about to start an Alpine A110 registry at the rate cars keep popping up!
It's been awhile... Drove across the state last week, and drove this home. It'll be hitting BaT sometime in the future Image Unavailable, Please Login
