Been enjoying a number of japanese whiskies, but just got into this one:

Balvenie 15 year sherry cask....it's fantastic and a great value. Thinking it's going to replace my mccallan 12 when I'm in the mood for something not from Islay.

My dads 72 and leaves when he can. He's picking things up from Costco for some friends of theirs that aren't in the best health. And he called me saying he was at the liquor store picking up some wine and asked if I wanted anything. I should have gone buffalo trace since I haven't had it yet, so I went with my tried and true.

You’ll like Buffalo Trace. Next time at Costco in the next month or so it’s on my list. Would go sooner but doubt things will calm down before then.

Ardbeg 10 this evening. Nice and peaty. Windy and chilly so it fit the day.

If you always wanted to try Pappy Van Winkle and didn't want to sell your car to buy a bottle, Buffalo Trace makes it, and the taste profile isn't that dissimilar. They also make a fantastic bourbon cream that we like a lot better than others in this sinful drink category.

Thanks. I've been a long time fan of WT. I agree, and I've heard the same from the people who seem to know whisky.

My dad bought me a bunch of liquor when I turned 21 and he said WT was what my grandfather drank.

Worth the extra $30 a bottle vs. the 101?

Depends if you like the kick, it’s still a relatively low price point for what you get

Had a teleconference late night happy hour with friends last night. The bottle was a little below half before. Its significantly lower now.

I’ve even enjoying both lately and like Eagle Rare better. Next up is Noah’s Mill.

eagle rare is really good and at 1/2 the price of Blantons it’s a tremendous value!

Apparently my mind wasn't functioning today. Because I went to buy Buffalo Trace but bought Bullet instead. Not bad though.
