Let me ask another way. Of the deaths from covid 19, how many of those would have died from seasonal flu anyway?

Greg appears to be at the frontline of this. Question, it appears the issue with covid 19 is the fact it is exceedingly contagious, is that correct?

Would also be nice if people simply practised basic hygiene too..........................

 

Give it a chance - only been running 4-5 months; if it ran for 18 months at the current rate we'd be at the 240,000 I think has been posted elasewhere... Also no idea what the Spanish flu numbers would have been in they'd had modern medicine.
Never knew that Spanish Flu and Swine flu were the same thing (H1N1) - why did they rename it? To avoid panic?

 

Thing is we're not into the seasonal flu season yet so these will be on top of the 'normal' flu count. May be a competition to see who gets them first once flu season gets going.
100% agree with the basic hygiene comment.

Covid infection is causing lung problems not usually seen with seasonal flu. There has been a flurry of new papers describing findings on CT scans of the Chest, specific to patients that are Covid 19 +ve. But don't worry peeps, I'm all over it and will pull some ICU strings for you
