If you dont mind a little rewiring job the 355 one can be used and is quite a bit cheaper

    https://www.ferrariparts.co.uk/part/ferrari/

    And cheaper again at eurospares.

    https://www.eurospares.co.uk/search?partNumber=149095

Its just the plug on the end is a supaseal type and you can either change the plug on the sensor or as I did buy a matching plug for the car loom end.

Excellent job Ernie. I am in the middle of diagnosing my 348 with an intermittent dead speedometer. Will keep everyone posted once I have it figured out.

This sd7h15 7840 is now $389 plus shipping from polar bear inc and the sd709 7505 is non existent

A much cheaper but identical compressor (except the pulley and connector) is the sanden sd7h15 4710 from techchoiceparts.com for $159.80 plus shipping.

The pulley is an 8 rib pulley but the length of the compressor is the same as the 7840 or 7505 meaning the belt rides on the outer most 5 ribs and the 3 ribs closest to the compressor are empty. I'll attach the pdfs to show how this compressor fits and works exactly the same they just put a deeper pulley on the shaft but its recessed.

One could spin off the pulley with an impact wrench, put the old pulley on, tighten it back up with an impact as well.

That's the exact one I was referring to in my original post the sanden sd7h15 7840 for $389
$230 more for oem size pulley that makes no difference in how the car operates is not what I'd do but to each their own.

Fuel Pressure Regulator for 1989 Mondial with 3.0bar unit and barbed fitting to fuel pump. (Bosch 0 280 160 731- Ferrari #137960)
I can source the later 3.8bar unit (with threaded fitting) from NAPA only. Thanks

Thanks Eric! Only issue with that part is it requires threaded pressure-fitted hoses unlike my earlier fpr with barbed fitting. Do you know what hoses I’d need to make that work?

I'm confused. Tell me exactly what you want. lets start there.
    1) I want the 3.0 bar with the barb fitting used prior to 93 typically TS ad TB models (there were actual 2 different ones over time)
    2) I want the 3.8 bar with the threaded fitting used after 93 typically on the Spider

Thanks for both of the options. I’ll just need to upgrade to the threaded fittings found on the fuel pump inlet.

Because my FPR is barbed not threaded like the replacement unit. Thus I would need to purchase a threaded female pressure fit hose. My hose is rubber only requiring a clamp.,

If your original FPR has a barb (hose push-on), then your replacement threaded FPR is incorrect for your engine. As clearly pointed by Eric, barbed is 3.0 Bar, threaded is 3.8 Bar. You cannot use 3.8 Bar (threaded) FPR-s in your car.
