Yeah, it would be a nice day trip, stop in the Gonzalez for the Museum and the "Come Take It" cannon and then on to Goliad for the two missions and the Fannin Memorial. Lunch in Goliad. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Had to get out to the grocery store (essential trip) and had to stop for this pic today. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Getting a pic of my Ferrari in front of the Chicken was a goal from undergrad here. Was able to get one of my 355 many moons ago (back when you could actually park in front of the Chicken). Finally was able to get the 488 there given the lack of traffic due to COVID shutdown. Counting the days until I can get a cold longneck and play some 42 in there!
Who plays 42 anymore?!?! (I do) I spent a lot of time at Northgate during my four years there...looks way different now ( used to park my Harley at the front door!!).
...I heard the Governor might close the Liquor Stores..... Image Unavailable, Please Login That's actually the aftermath of an Irish Cook Off..
Goliad looked like a pretty cool town. We just drove through it on our way from Corpus to Houston, didn't have a chance to stop. Just west of there is the microscopic town of Fannin, used to be a great Q joint, McMillan's, I think it was called. I heard the old guy & his wife retired though, which is a shame. Best ribs I've had in Tejas...T
