If you are going to battle cancer, this is the best possible time. Wishing him good luck.

He was the best F1 host, especially when Sam Posey was on the show. Wishing good luck.

Wishing for the best. I met Bob at Road Atlanta about 7-8 years ago when he was announcing a track event, and he couldn't have been nicer. Didn't know me from Adam, but we chatted about travel and his work as the announcer for F1 on Speed.

    Godspeed Bob...

Really nice guy. He took my 308 Owner's Manual to Indy for me and got Schumacher to sign it.

What a nice thing to do for someone he barely knew.

    I wish him the best

Nice man, spoke with him briefly at Road Atlanta a while back. Very approachable and sincere. 308 owner at the time. Wishing him the very best.

Always my favorite motorsport announcer. A Dartmouth man and, in his early twenties, was a world-class marathon runner, narrowly missing the Olympic team, during the Frank Shorter, Jack Bacheler, Bill Rodgers and Jeff Galloway era.

He spoke at a gathering at T Rutlands here in Atlanta a number of years ago, a real nice guy. Let's hope that he can pull through this double whammy.

And that should be a reminder to all men over 50 reading this to get tested annually for prostate cancer before it gets out of hand. I was diagnosed with stage 1 cancer ten years ago, when I was 57, and six weeks of focused radiation took care of it. Better to catch it at an early stage.

Bob Varsha was slated to be a guest judge at the Miami Concours in February. However, no
sooner was that announced by our Chief Judge, Dr. Mark Moskowitz, that the news came of
his diagnosis and unfortunately, due to his treatments, he had to cancel. Hopefully, he may
pick up the discussion again for 2021.

My one and only sort of interaction with Bob Varsha came at an Endurance Karting race (of all things)
at Palm Beach International Raceway. I was exiting the kart in the pits and as I got to my feet there
he was standing a few feet away, evidently he had a friend in the event and was there observing.

I'd just come off what I thought was a pretty good stint (no spins, kept the cart in contention, etc.),
was feeling pretty good about things and as I walked by Varsha, I said, "No interviews now please".

Are there any updates on Bob’s condition and prognosis?
