    Just out of curiosity, is the initial reason for this long term ('67-'87) storage known ? Did the car suffer some major damage during its last outing or ...?

    Assume pure paranoia.
    I recently inspected 08423. It is one of the most unmolested and authentic 275 GTB/6C's.

    As I recall this a small auction of an estate collection? There was also a 4cam with a mis-matched engine(original with Tom Meade) and a Daytona or two. Horrible result for the consignors, all cars were purchase by dealers.

    The 4 Cam was 10163, which also went for $193,000. It previously had a 330 GT engine in it that got replaced with a new (block?), correct engine and fitted by Bob Wallace. See here.
