Hi all, have an annoying little crease on a rear wheel arch. It’s minor and can only be seen from a specific angle but I always know where to look to see it haha. Have no idea how it got there. I had some PDR guys look at it and they suggested glue pulling but said there was a chance it could pull paint. Feeling in and around the rear wheel arches it feels as though there are two layers of aluminium there and if I take the tyre off could get in between the layers and beat it out without glue pulling. Anyone had any of these annoying dents/creases in a similar area? Any tips? cheers!
Have a pic? On a lot of these cars, including mine, the fenders have been rolled to make clearance for tires. Might be what you are seeing.
It’s that horizontal line (the other marks are just dirt, needed a clean here) and that mucky PPF you might see has been replaced too. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's a tough one. If there is a double panel there (I haven't checked my car) then it will be pretty tough to make it go away. I can tell you that I took a small ding out of my door when I got my 360 and that aluminum is hard stuff. It took quite a bit more force to get it gone than any ding I worked on a steel car. FWIW BTW, I'm not one of those ding specialist with all the special tools. So maybe keep looking for the right guy. There's a lot of them and I have found that there are only a few that are real pros at the top of their trade. Check with the high end dealers in your area. Ask who they use. And I don't blame you, that would bug me to no end too.
Oh wow, yeah, that's probably not from a fender roll, looks like something jumped head first. Not even sure after PDR it would not still show some evidence of being there. It would bug me too, but may just want to consider acceptance.
No PDR will be able to remove that , I would call that more of a crease . I ran a used car super store for Toyota and those PDR guys work for me in reconditioning my used cars I know what they can and can not do. My AirStream has the same crease to remove it the inter panel has to be remove and roll out the crease with a metal roller. You will not be able to remove the enter panel to work on your 360. Only way IMHO take it to a pro body shop they will have to sand away the paint and use aluminum pull rods to remove the crease or fill body filler witch I would not recommend . I would get a estimate from a body shop and maybe fill a claim with your INS company
I had a bunch remove I had creases and dings they charged me $700 but it came out amazing. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
I had a crease in my 430 door which the man pressed out in half an hour,, u would never know. Mine was easy as went down past the door glass and pressed it out. If they can get behind it , it should come out
It’s a crease and looks relatively easy. It will need some careful manipulation from behind the panel and some gentle warming... If in doubt, get professional help.. but make sure if using a dent puller to check it won’t pull the paint (if original paint you should be ok). I’ve pulled dents from original paint on all my Ferrari’s over the years. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
