That looks encouraging Joe and you have to wonder if it's just Australia's isolation from the world that is a big contributing factor or the fact that Scomo closed the inbound flights from China that reduced the amount of cases. I think Morrison did an outstanding job

Yep . Both Federal and State govts have been onto it from early on . Absolutely stellar job to get it under control. I think we are now in the danger zone in that if we relax and become complacent it will take off again.
That's true. Unfortunately, they are going to have to relax restrictions at some point to drip feed new cases into the population. Very difficult to get it right and keep the curve flat and low. Most likely it will fluctuate (the term is hysteresis, but I don't want to get PP too excited).

Yep Very difficult to manage. I suspect that when the tested/confirmed cases drop into the low single digits and stay there for 14 days then they will start lifting bans whilst keeping the 1 person per 4sqm rule in place to see how that works. I think you will see this begin to happen is some places within a month. The biggest challenge will be the resist the cries to reopen our international boarders.
I'm in the building industry. We're flat out. But that's only one industry. Shops are closed. Roads are dead. It's ****ed out there.
And I see your premier is looking at stage 4 lockdowns for the next 12 months...In China they have lifted the travel ban from Wuhan and tens of thousands are travelling....Go figure?..
A difficult balancing act, Joe. I think that we should relax restrictions sooner, rather than later, but be vigilant in isolation of the sick and elderly (which is half of FChat).
