Hi, do you think Daytonas are currently under-appreciated? How likely are they to go towards the 1.5 milion dollars in the next 5 years?

Hi, is the Daytona under-appreciated in your opinion? Will it go to 1.5 million dollars in 5 years?

I do think they are currently undervalued a bit, but to think in 5 years they would be at 1.5 mil is far fetched in my opinion.

My opinion. I cant see it reaching $750k in 5 years.
All cars are soft pretty much right now. Daytona coupes usually creep down QUICK and then creep back up VERY SLOWLY then peak before 7 digits.
    Just my opinion.

I am a Daytona lover but it seems we are a minority..even at the pick of the car boom, it never surpassed $700k on average (some sn might have sold for more?).

I prefer the Daytona to the 275s, and certainly to the 330/365 GTC.

Go to the market section, I've found a very good Daytona, even though I prefer the 275 over the 365 GTB/4

I think they are there already unless you want one that is fresh out of restoration or 1 owner low miles..

they are, I just don't see them being worth anymore in 5 years, I think they will drop to the $300k-$350k range then creep back up to $500k in 5 years, maybe they will be at $1M in 20+ years but seems like the crowd that likes them is really old and selling expansive assets before their time comes to an end.

You are correct Andrew, I mis-remembered it. It was a Eddie Karam consignment at Gooding I believe, $900 hammer and $990 all-in for a US version coupe.

Most here totally miss the point.....

What if you want to get into classic front engine v12 ownership. 250GTO too expensive, 250SWB too expensive, 275GTB/4...at >2Mio too expensive. So what is the next thing that represents truly V!2 Front end Ferrari!? 365GTB/4...fastest car in its time, fantastic looks, performance car...not like all 2+2's.

Now try to find a nice Daytona! I know, I recently did. Most are CRAP! Resprayed red examples, not so beautiful examples and asking 600k. My idea; 400k buys you an old crap car, 500k buys you a good driver car with not so great looks, 600k you get into nicer examples, 700k gets you a low mileage and/or reasonable restored car, 800k get you something special (colour) or top restoration.

How I know...I researched the market and put my money where my mouth is recently.

And...I believe you pay premium for a Daytona over what these cars may be worth given quite a lot were produced, but again, try to find a good one...good luck! Owner of a great Daytona won't sell for 500k...they will keep it!

I got into Daytona ownership with the reality that AT THIS PRESENT TIME this what you pay...werther it is more or less in future, is totally irrelavant when you have to decide today. If it increases it may be out of reach forever and the dream will never materialise. If it goes down...you better enjoy the car and drive the hell out of it, as experiences in life are priceless.....

I all honesty...this discussion doesn't make sense at all...as the monetary system as we know it may collapse and/or currency may depreciate more than other assets. What if we pay 1 Mio USD for a loaf of bread in a few years....strange idea? So many countries have gone through this. A Daytona may be 1Billion USD...
