Old OMP seats are kinda hard to find too. And remember, there is an early version and a later version for 348/355 Challenge. Early version had smaller triangle belt loops. That one might be easier to find and more generic. Larger ones for later version are 355 Challenge specific seats. I actually prefer the smaller belt loop. I have the early version in my possession as well.

This is the early version with the smaller belt loop I was referring to. The leg pad is smaller too.

Problem is seats are scarce. Retrim or not. But yes, most of the time they are beat. The fabric is easily distorted.

What did it cost to get your old challenge shells retrimmed?

To be honest the majority of those pieces are just hardware. Bolts, washers, screws.

Everything else could be 3D scanned and printed to test fit on an OEM seat, then send off for production after confirming.

Not saying it will be easy or hugely profitable but a run of 20 sets of seats wouldn't take too long to sell globally for around $10k/set per order trimmed in the leather of your choosing.

Ok but who wants to pay $10k for non genuine? No one wants to pay $10k for genuine.

Fair enough. I'd pay $10k for genuine or even bang on replicas with maybe some improved accents.

It's pretty much damn near impossible to find my dream spec so I plan on building it anyway.

Does anyone know if an F40 bucket seat work with F355 OE rails?

Any seat can fit any car if you can make your own seat mount brackets. A little welding …. fixes a lot.

A few years ago you would pay up to 3-4k for a seat in any condition (usually bad). Omp can’t redo them as they have changed they production tools and can’t use the older template.

F40 uses sliders. Not same part no. as 355, but similar idea. So I guess one can fabricate some brackets to work with 355 sliders. Challenge seats do not slide btw.
