Why stop at the passenger seat, throw both the seats away and accept it was a bad mistake. Only a fool makes the same mistake twice and only a bigger fool tries to live with it. History my ass. There is some history that should never be repeated and this is one of them.

Of course people are bashing someone else’s choice of spec on a “see 488 Pistas are tanking, doom and gloom!” thread. Ugh.
Good for the person getting red on blue, get what you like and leave the corsa/tan for the squares ;)

Genuine question: How often are you looking at your seats when driving? One you're sitting in and the other is next to you...

As long as the price is right, whatever. It's like people specing fancy headliners. Once you're sitting in the car, out of sight out of mind...

That's all your individual opinions. You are entitled. I look at it as this was someone's dream. Maybe I don't really get it, maybe I do, but I think your comments are fair, but harsh.

I think red car/ blue seats can work great- it just depends on the shades and how it all fits together.

Anyway, I think this is a very tough time for many people and I think Pista is unfortunately caught in the middle. As such values will be difficult. However, it is a spectacular driving car and I think over time there will be a strong following for the car. I wish I could tell you I know what that means for values. But I can tell you the car is mega to drive- whatever color seats you have :)

It could very well just be a case where noone1 is trying to argue his own case where his choice of skate board is red and the wheels are blue and is trying to draw a comparison between this particular car where noone1 is unable to see the wheels whilst riding his skateboard.....so thinks the driver of this Pista will be in a similar boat.

Why bother with paint on the exterior of a car since when you are driving you can't see it anyway.

The point is some option are a hell of a lot less significant than others. If someone can't stomach a little blue on the seats well then I guess they should have ordered new from the start.

Maybe but there are plenty of options out there so this one could be hard to sell. If you spec such an outlandish car by most people's opinion then you should be prepared to hold for a while or just keep it.

If someone can’t stomach a little blue on the seats then I guess they shouldn’t consider spending half a million on a car that isn’t to their liking instead of not looking at the seats. Novel concept.

Super excited about current negotiations for my first non-red Ferrari =) *fingers crossed* definitely significantly below msrp, but not Covid-19 accelerated pricing.

64 Pistas listed for sale in the US in all different colors and specs. If you can't find your perfect spec either A) order new next time or B) paint the ******** thing and order some new seats. Hell, you can probably even dye some thread if you're that anal about it LOL

At $400-500K, these cars aren't exactly a steal no matter how you look at it so you might as well just buy the car and enjoy it and send it off for some changes if it bugs you so much. Or you can just wait forever and hope a certain spec shows up, even though it will probably never be perfect anyway.

    I think you're missing a certain pattern:

    1) person who doesn't own the car will post/list a car that is for sale
    2) people who own the particular cars will then pick it a part of why it is selling for a certain price, or lower than expected.

The original poster of this thread has started another thread about car prices falling... He received an early pista and sold out of it long ago. I'd assume that he would not be starting these threads if he still had his.

From behind the scenes and Pistas that I know are for sale; the higher the MSRP the worse it is for the original seller ( MSRP > $500,000).
