No lol, I would've said exact same!! I haven't been to Melbourne for ages, I might try for the F1 next year seeing as all my plans for this year went down the toilet.
Another Underbelly series to air soon, I'm looking forward to seeing Mokbel's Ferrari in the series. Wonder if the producers will use an F355 or use a random Ferrari convertible like a California instead.
If I understand you correctly, and I think I do, you want to clean my pool next time you're in Melbourne. Ok! You're on.
Who would want to be a Policemenist? CCC calls for charges against police officer whose treatment of 13yo boy was caught on CCTV http://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-04-20/ccc-report-into-use-of-police-force-against-a-child/12165464
After he has finished cleaning your pool can you send him up to have a look at the filter on my spa as it’s never been the same after the last party that Greg and Ian attended Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
WA cops, aboriginal kids .... been happening for years, just like the way the QLD cops in Ipswich use to treat the aboriginal kids back in the 80s when I lived there Four Corners did a review on it : https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-05-13/hold-the-watch-house-files/11046190
Do either of you guys think you're getting balanced and complete information from the ABC? My brother in Perth had his car stolen, at gunpoint, by a 15 year old. There are unfortunately a lot of damaged and dangerous kids who are a byproduct of substance abuse over generations.
And you don’t think any of that damage may be due, even a tiny bit, to they way they saw their relatives treated by police?
I appreciate that. My comment is actually in support of the police officer. I was merely questioning why on earth anyone would want to be a copper and put up with all these grubs.
I think part of Karen's answer will contain the bit where she asks "what made them drink in the first place"....and that's where you go a little way back to Cap'n Cook.
Very well aware. And unlike most here I’ve lived in a city with a large Aboriginal population (Darwin) and seen how they are treated, even when stone cold sober and hard working. Go to Hermansburg and look at the before and after pics of the community at the time of the first Europeans arriving - brought me to tears. Broken spirits are hard to mend - I have no idea how it can be done, especially with most of white Australia’s ‘just get over it’ attitude. Wonder how you guys would feel if the aliens turned up and turfed you out of your homes?
I agree, it's a horrible and very complex problem. You won't solve it however with an invasion narrative or handing yet more money to the wrong people. NZ has done a much job with societal recognition and assimilation, yet there is widespread poverty, violence and substance abuse there too. A good start in Aus would be dismantling the enormous govt native welfare apparatus, which has failed by every possible measure. I was reading today that PwC are making $15million advising the VIC Govt on a treaty. It disgusts me. I would fire the lot, put people like Noel Pearson and Andrew Forrest in charge and start again. Meanwhile, I have friends from Bourke whose family members lead successful professional lives in media, law and nursing. You never hear positive news, I suspect because too many people have a vested interest in keeping the "sit down money" flowing. Stan Grant speaks well on this topic.
Apologies, it’s vacuum to wast -“backwash” for 5 minutes then rinse for 5 [emoji51] Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
