I would recommend
treating the leather seats and accessories, treating sticky buttons and accessories and washing the rims and the engine compartment in detail.
No need to be an Engineer for that, just use your elbow grease !

 

When was the last time your coolant was flushed?
Would be good for the car, the HX and non technical enough not to require you to be an F specialist.

Only thing is you'd need an Airlift Tool and small Air Compressor

challenge grille
update bulbs to some LEDs?
new stereo head unit
fluid change, if youre gutsy
O2 sensors...but can be tricky if they get stuck.

I recommend ordering parts first as they may be hard to come by.

use scrubbing bubbles bath cleaner. works great. rinse off with low power pump sprayer and don't inject wiring ares's too much. I've never had a problem doing it. I use reverse osmosis water for a spot free dry. cheers

 

As above, if your battery is getting to be 4 or more years, time to think about replacing it. Lots of pics on f chat on how to replace it.

Windshield wipers, when was the last time they were replaced.

Maybe a nice detail, clay bar, polish and then a sealant like carnauba wax or one of the new synthetics. Clean the leather, then leather conditioner. Lots of good info on the f chat showroom and detailing sub forum.

Any suggestions on how to "de sticky"?

 

Lots of threads on this, but 91% isopropyl alcohol seems best and safest (make sure you are in ventilated area). All will remove any painted on lettering.

If you need something more aggressive than alcohol, oven cleaner worked for me,

 

Works but the active ingredient in oven cleaner is concentrated lye, which is very aggressive and harmful to organic tissue.

So it essentially makes the switch/button "not sticky" but also removes whatever lettering was printed on (describing the function of the switch/button)?

 

I used denatured alcohol and Q-Tips on my 430. Carefully wiped in one direction using new QTips after every 2-3 passes. The only lettering that came off were the "LOCK" on the handles and "MODE SET" on the left panel. That was expected. All the switchgear lettering remained intact.

Only lettering Iost were the arrows on the A/C vents in my 360. Isopropyl alcohol and microfiber cloth plus Q tips.
