    I believe that is the battery vent tube. It should be attached to the battery vent (assuming your battery has one) and routed down through the fender to the underside of the car.

    Ahhh, so evidently it performs a “weep” function.

    I just had a dealer go over the car and I am certain they would have caught it if it was an issue but who knows.

    AGM batteries do not need a vent hose, so not to worry if you have one that is unused.

    Thank you both, good to know and I hope to meet you guys at an event someday...
    We registered to be judged at the Italiano Concourso this year which will be no doubt cancelled as the main event that week was just cancelled (Concourse de Elegance).
