In my opinion it will be the identical retractable hard top present on 458/488/F8 and 812 GTS already. The SF90 has the engine mounted very low, thus leaving ample space to house the folded roof. If you look carefully, you can see in the spy photos the division into two parts, typical of that solution

I'm afraid you are right. in that case, we might be back to the weight issue again

Think about the LaFerrari chassis. In order to cut the roof they had to work hard, going to vary the positioning of radiators to obtain a fairly simple solution: manually remove the roof. Thinking of another solution would have been unsustainable and would have involved a project from scratch.
The frame is a carbon monocoque.

If we look at the SF90, we are practically talking about a 458/488. I remember that the J50 - very similar in aesthetics to the SF90 - is on a 488 spider base. The frame is made of aluminum. Retractable hard roof. It seems to me the most obvious solution.

In this picture take by Simonemasetti you can see the architecture of the roof and I doubt about a targa system but much more a f8 spider.
    What do you think?

Maximilien you seem to be right with the mechanism of the opening roof [emoji108]

We’ll see in a few weeks...

But, strangely, the car is entirely covered even though the lines of the SF90 Stradale are already known.

This is rather disappointing. A rinse repeat of the 812 GTS parts bin exercise as @Scraggy would put it. SF90S has quite a complex shape in the back, a lot of which will be lost to the use this roof mechanism that Ferrari has developed and been using since the 458 Italia!
For a $650K flagship, I would have expected something a bit more interesting and unique.

I don´t understand why people here and in the 812 GTS thread complains about "oh, that folding top again, always the same". Back in the day most convertibles used the "same" canvas top.

Let´s not also forget that the butresses in these cars are there not just for the folding top, but to avoid your head being blown away by the wind at 200+ kph. The 360 Spider already had them despite the canvas top.

I don't criticize this rht solution too much because it responds to many needs such as practicality, opening speed, and safety, without forgetting the development costs incurred. The only regret, at least as regards the 812GTS, is a reduced open surface compared to the whole car. And also the 458/488/F8/812GTS look a bit alike with that double hump that incorporates the rollbar. You lose a bit that characteristic streamlined flat line, typical of the daytona spider. They look more like a "targa" setting than a "spider"

    I agree with you Isot.
The best example is the 550 Barchetta that really looked well opened (such as the Daytona Spider you mentioned).

I have a 911 991 Turbo S Cab in my collection, the roof is amazing. Smart outside and inside like a cocoon with a hard shell. So much more design scope with canvas eg Aston, Merc and Porsche. Ferrari should put a proper hood on it and not be slave to the 3 series convertible roof.

SF90 has the F8 chassis. Sure it will share the same roof..

The convertible version of the SF90 Stradale is confirmed of being with retractable hard top (RHT), like the F8 Spider and 812 GTS.

I have not yet understood what function this fin does. Does it contain an antenna or the rear view camera? is it just a stylistic vein that refers to F1? I find it so ugly and ugly
