Does anyone happen to know where the vacuum hose from the ecu in the rear drivers side wheel well go to, mine is plugged into ecu but just dangling in the engine bay.

Was your car actually running like that?

No, not running right now. But, if that hose goes there, then where does this one go? It was connected where the other one went, now this one is not connected. Any ideas?

Were you intending to upload another image?

Which Mondial do you have? There are differences, you know. ;)

Notice the "T" fitting on this one.

I believe the #19 fitting in Wade's post is for the Microplex ECU and the #35 fitting is for the HVAC vacuum reservoir (but if they were reversed it wouldn't matter much operationally). However, since you indicate that the Microplex ECU wasn't hooked up at all -- just what is hooked up to #19 and #35 on your car, or was one of those fittings capped off and not used?

Also, please confirm this is a US version 1988 Mondial 3.2 -- or please describe what it is.

#19 is now connected to the Microplex ECU and #35 is connected to the oil vapor seperator and still have the other one still not connected. Hose to the ECU and the one not connected are the same size, but the one connected to #35 is larger hose. Yes, it is a 1988 Mondial 3.2.

Know what you mean about the larger hose being right for the larger #35 fitting, but I did find this pic of a 1988 US version Mondial 3.2 engine that seems to show that the small line from the oil vapor separator does not go to either of those fittings:

What's interesting is that in the Mondial QV SPC, it clearly shows that small line from the oil vapor separator does go to fitting #35 (but the separator itself has two small lines):

but in the Mondial 3.2 SPC it is not shown going to fitting #35 (and the separator only has one small line): Image Unavailable, Please Login

and the description of hose #1 is "HOSE FROM VAPOR SEPARATOR TO AIR DELIVERY PIPE FOR US" (and not "HOSE FROM VAPOR SEPARATOR TO AIR INTAKE" like on the QV). Will be interested to learn what you learn about this, but can say with some certainty that having the Microplex ECU connected to the air intake plenum is uber-important.

Two hoses = with ABS system (no vacuum brake booster)

Three hoses = conventional brake system (with vacuum brake booster)
