It appears to be the seatbelt buzzer, per wiring diagram

Larry so the 308 has two buzzer, one for the key and one for the seat belt? I believe my key buzzer works but I don’t have anything for the seat belts. I have to search under the dashboard for a disconnected seat belt buzzer.

I am interested in this thread. Both my door and seatbelt buzzing was disabled long ago, but the buzzer itself (mounted to the underside of the removable passenger footwell panel on an '85) is still connected. I was told many customers deactivated them on day one because they are so annoying. I want to be able to reactivate mine for regional concours events, but haven't yet found where it is disconnected!

As you are probably aware, The fuse is right side 7th from the left. I have been trying to trace the wiring back searching for the key buzzer. It doesn't seem to in the diagram. I will search tonight when I have more time. Do you have Paul Bennets wiring diagrams ?

Alex, just a few moths ago, I reconnected the wire or plug on the chime under the passenger forward footrest and now whenever the door is open and the ignition switch is on, the buzzer turns on and turns off when you close the door but I don’t hear anything for the seat belt.

Larry I remember getting the diagram from Paul back when he first offered it but have not made any copy of it yet, hopefully it’s still in my email. But anyway, I really would appreciate if there’s a way you can search it tonight, in the mean time like I said I will see if I can find any disconnected buzzer under the dash for the seat belt. Thanks Larry!

here's a start.. seatbelt relay under passenger floor.
Red wire #1 runs to door jam switch
red wire #2 runs to left fuse box, 2nd fuse
yellow # 4 goes to driver seat belt switch
black # 5 goes to key switch
brown # 6 seatbelt warning light

still searching for key buzzer wires and switch

I cannot find any key buzzer switch, relay or wiring information of any kind on the wiring diagram. :(
My only conclusion is that the seat belt and key buzzer are one and the same

Larry, this is the key/door buzzer (right) I plugged back in and it works, so I’m just wondering now if there is a separate buzzer for the seat belt and if there is, where is it located on the 84 QV?
