According to the factory this car was originally chassis #1034 which after the crash in Le Mans 14 June 1970 was rebuilt and re-numbered from 1034 to 1036.
Factory then sold it 20 June 1970 to Garage Francorchamps SA (together with two other 512 S).
Then from Swaters/Francorchamps to Solar Productions in July 1970 and from Solar on 10 December 1970 to Swiss Herbert Müller, who had Edi Wyss convert it 1972/73 into a 5 and 7 liter Can-Am Spider. 5 January 1977 sold by Müller to Manfred Lampe.
1034 as it exists today is a replica and not considered a genuine Ferrari (Source: Factory).

Thank you, that would make it the Regazzoni driven car in the multi 512 collision around 6PM in the race since Bell did not stop there and the other 2 512's were in different -Filipinetti- liveries.

#5 is the Ickx-Schetty 1038 which crashed in the 10th hour.
#8 is the Merzario-Regazzoni 1034 which crashed in the 3rd hour.

Right so that photo of the car with front end damage on grass is the Regazzoni driven car.

Wow never saw these before...but when David Piper hosted me Easter 1982 he showed me this amazing video with unused bits of the movie Le Mans and the 908 camera car drove through the immediate yellow flag aftermath of the pile up with damaged 512's on the right side , thank you Giotto and Marcel.

As you shared, this is Manfred's other 512. And although you are referring to it as a replica, Mr Lampe refers to it as a legitimate and authentic 512. This is very confusing, and which is which?

Lampe's 512 M #1036 is NOT a replica. Nobody said that. Please stop spreading false information. Thank you.

    Pix 1, 2 and 4 = 1002.
Pix 1 and 2 at Monza 14 February 1970. Tested by Dr. Peter Schetty and Ignazio Giunti.

    Thank you. Valuable info.
More pictures of early testing 512 S. Vintage photos, great atmosphere and seemingly archaic testing and preparation procedures. Quite normal for that era.

First two pix showing #1002 taken 6 November 1969 at the Modena Aerautodromo, following the press presentation at Ristorante Gatto Verde in the hills above Maranello.
The other pix were taken during testing at Enna-Pergusa (Sicily).

In September 1974, NART has done several attempts to beat the speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats, Wendover, Utah.
Actor Paul Newman, Luigi Chinetti Jr, Graham Hill and Milt Minter drove a specially prepared 512 M, note the different configuration with norma/longer rear spoiler. They also drove a 365 GTB/4.
These were the results with the 512.
    -September 23, 1974: Luigi Chinetti Jr. Ferrari 512-MB, 174.759 mph; 10-km World's Unlimited Record, 10-km International Class C Record, 10-km National Class C Record
-September 23, 1974: Luigi Chinetti Jr, Ferrari 512-MB. 174.763 mph; 10-mile International Class C Record, 10-mile National Class C Record
    Second photo shows Paul Newman.

I assume you refer to post #1059?
Mirror was repositioned and painted red for the race.
The long tail rear lid was also modified/exchanged.
