hi wanna ask, find compare and I liked one model: OEM tool 24389 manual Someone used or heard something?
Oil extractor will not work on a 458. Here is the test performed by Aeroengineman https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/146758216/
Don't think it would work on a 360 either by going through the oil fill/dipstick opening Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not hard at all with the appropriate tools and lift. But using an oil extractor can really make an oil change easier, if it were possible on a Ferrari. No need for a lift, no oil drain pan, it makes for a much less messy affair for the typical DIYer. While I have never used an extractor, preferring the traditional method, I can see the advantage by those that prefer it. What I learned from visiting Aeroengineman and assisting him with his attempt, was that in the case of the 458, it is not possible.
When you drain oil the conventional way, from the bottom you get all the old oil and contaminants out. IMHO oil extractor won't do that!
Seen tests, with many wet sump cars, you are only leaving 1/4 to 1/3 cup oil behind with extraction, when comparing both methods. Seems the difference is negligible. There should not be significant contaminants in a properly working filtration system. Again, I don't use extraction myself, but for those cars it works, seems fine. Seems one needs to test and confirm with their own cars before depending on it.
