She got a bath, clay bar, and NexGen ceramic today. All sparkly and showing off her new shoes... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
How's your weather, Barry? Today was appropriately warm but overcast so no direct sunlight for clay bar or ceramic. A perfect day for it.
Thanks, Jeff. The HRE wheels at 18" allow for Michelin PS4s tires and also allow me to work on curb rash repair to the factory wheels. Previous owner was a bit less than careful with the 17" OEM wheels. I am liking the handling difference between the OEM with Michelin A/S and the HRE wheels/PS4s tires installed. It is quite noticeable.
Eric- Huge difference between all seasons and summer high performance tires, as you noted. When you get your 17" wheels back, the Continental Extreme Contact Sport comes in OEM 17" sizes and is a really good tire.
Thanks, Terry. I run the Pilot Sports on my Cayman and M3 and have always been happy with them. They feel great on the 456M. The A/S are good for what they are intended but the 456 isn't going to see the snow of New Hampshire. At least not go out in it...she may see it through the windows of the garage!
Those have got to be two truly distinct experiences without taking anything away from either one. Congrats. A v-12 to fit every mood!!
two different cars separated by 10 years of changes the 512 is pure Ferrari the 575 is just as nice but much more reserved doesn't jump out at you like the 512 its STEALTH !
the shields on my 512 TR are hand hammered in they are not stickers the car has 110k on it bought it in 1996 with 10K on it replaced the motor at 96K with one that had 16k on it
I agree with the tire choice was up north in the snow with the Extreme contacts last winter in the 575 no problems great tire
Thanks, Clyde. My first Ferrari, bought many years ago in Italy with my brother, was a 250GTE and they had these giant fog lights just inside the grill cutout. Perhaps my weak spot for 2+2s from Ferrari has to do with fond remembrances of my brother who passed a long time ago. When the 456 became the 456M, they moved the lights that were in the front bumper and kind of oblongish rectangular, to the round, inside the grill lights just like the old 250GTE. I found it rather fetching for my own reasons.
Eric- My old Euro Daytona had giant driving lights behind the grille. Seemed to be popular there or in front of the grille to make up for the lackluster headlights back in the day.
