I am thrilled with your project. Years ago I said that the 206SP would be THE one to have. Again, I love, love, love your car. I bet you can't wait to get her out on the open roads !!! ; )
I have just picked up this thread. Am very interested to see what you are doing. I am part way through the same exercise with a Fantuzzi built recreation. I am using an ft200 gearbox at the moment although still looking for correct Ferrari box. How is your car working on the road?
It's almost done, just figuring the shift linkage and then some interior work Hopefully soon! My hands are full as I'm finishing a 72 GT and I bought a 74 GTS and a 72 Fiat Dino.

Hello Jon, Happy Thanksgiving to you and family! Re: Shifter, would you like to mail me about one? You have too many paper weights... Regards, Alberto
My 206sp recreation now out of workshop and on the road! Finally fitted a period FT200 gearbox. Road use is interesting and involving, feeling very vulnerable as so small! Now waiting to get a run at Goodwood, the cars natural territory. Next stage will be the FIA historic paperwork so can go historic racing. Image Unavailable, Please Login
We have made a lot of progress getting this to be a running car. I sourced the engine from the Netherlands, it’s a 2.0 L from a Fiat Dino as I wanted this car to be drivable on the street and i needed a longitudinal installation. I had a new windshield made and had wheels made. The biggest challenge right now it getting the gear shift which I had made to look like original operate with the ZF gearbox. As soon as this is solved we can move on to completion.
