Some time back (like 2006) I started to collect stats on the road cars starting with the 166 Sport. Production years, serial first/last, dimensions, engine specs, fuel delivery, HP/TQ, etc. etc. I stopped with the 430 and basically just ... stopped.
I was considering reviving the effort as a globally shared Google sheet with each model having an owner who would be responsible for the data on a purely best-efforts basis.

Before I do so, does anyone know if such a resource is already extant? These are the columns:

    Car
    CarGroup
    SequenceNumber
    ProductionStart
    ProductionEnd
    ProductionComments
    ProductionRHD
    ProductionLHD
    Production Count
    FirstSerial
    LastSerial
    Length (in)
    Width (in)
    Height (in)
    Wheelbase (in)
    Front track (in)
    Rear track (in)
    Dry Weight (lbs)
    Front Brakes
    Rear Brakes
    Wheels front
    Wheels rear
    Tires front
    Tires rear
    EngineDriveConfig
    EngineMount
    CylinderConfig
    Vdegree
    BlockMaterial
    CamConfig
    IntakeValves
    ExhaustValves
    Displacement (cc)
    Bore (mm)
    Stroke (mm)
    Compression (n:1)
    Turbochargers
    Intercoolers
    Fuel Delivery
    Fuel System
    Ignition
    MaxHP
    MaxHPRPM
    MaxTQ (ft-lbs)
    MaxTQRPM

CarGroup is a subjective way of organizing similar models, e.g.:

    Car CarGroup
    250 GT Boano 250 GT
    250 GT LWB - "TdF" 250 GT
    250 GT Ellena 250 GT
250 GT Pininfarina Coupe 250 GT
    250 GT Pininfarina Cabriolet - Series I 250 GT

NNO's Ferrari production numbers thread here would seem to cover pretty much the same ground

OK everyone. I have dialogued with all those that dialogue with me (thanks NNO in particular).
Looks like I will launch the Ferrari Stats Google Sheet to The Public very shortly.
The most important part of this is the stewardship of the details for each model. One person and their backup must be the owner, otherwise it's chaos. I am willing to take on the Mondial series to start and I already nominate Newman for the Boxers. :)
    Stay tuned.
If you have a particular interest in this space either from a content or info architecture perspective please send me a PM.

Surprised at the lack of responses. I’m a stats geek and find this information really interesting. I appreciate your efforts.

Just checked out your spreadsheet, very cool. I personally am grateful. I’ll put a link to this on my personal websites. Have you considered migrating this to a standalone website?

    keep up the great work.

Worked for me just a minute ago.

OP: Appears like a great overall job, but might take some effort to maintain accuracy, especially if just anyone is "allowed" to input/modify data.
Besides, some info, especially regarding older ("vintage") models are often debatable or fluid as new facts, while well researched by likes of our esteemed Marcel Massini, seem to come to light still today.
For example, my limited experience/knowledge of 365GTB/4s after 15-20 years of working on many of them seems to encounter new, previously undiscovered or unrecorded details almost daily.

good points. Perhaps creating a standalone wikipedia page with this info? That would allow easy version/change tracking.

    Just a thought.

That would be the "right" thing to do. The car timeline template at the bottom of List_of_Ferrari_Road_Cars offers a glimpse into what should be done. A stats DB wiki page with a well defined information architecture around start and end production could autogenerate that very useful graphic. But I am not a Wikipedian (although I do watch out over the Boxer and Mondial pages). If someone could point me in the direction of something similar to these stats, then I would be happy to convert it into something wiki-ish.

I had tried to add some info on the 612, but it wouldn't post.

Keep up the great work, and don't be discouraged about the initial lack of responses, I suspect it was merely a matter of it missed. I know personally that I and many others love this kind of stuff.

I am personally appreciative of your work. I look forward to seeing more.

    Cheers
