Any tips for removal of interior rearview mirror in GTC4Lusso?

    Well, I was able to accomplish the removal by pulling the mirror parallel to the windshield, toward the dash. The task was simpler than first thought. I now have a question regarding the wiring color scheme. In a previous post, the yellow was the 12v switched wire and the black was ground, but there does not seem to be an easily accessible plug to check. Can anyone confirm this? Joe

    Remove the dome light and the plug for the mirror is behind there.

    By the way, if you haven't snapped the mirror back on yet, be VERY careful when putting it back (I would also lube the mount a little). I was told by a Ferrari mechanic that a lot of windshields get broken when people try to snap the mirror back on.

    I was trying to avoid the fuse box and install a mirrortap to power a radar detector adjacent to the rear view mirror. Looking to access switched 12v and ground wires, less remotely.

    The days of tappng into "this or that" for power are long well and gone. Your are best to wire it in as a stand alone device. Try to avoid tampering with any factory wiring..
