Crazy experience in the 328 GTS today! The wife and I went out for a little cruise through the Tennessee country side today with the targa top off, just enjoying the amazing weather. I was behind a pick up truck that was turning right on a busy road just outside of a small town. The truck turned so I accelerated and just caught something brown out of my left peripheral vision. It went up and over the car. No contact. I thought, that was one lucky bird! Then I looked in my passenger side rearview mirror and saw it land akwardly. It was a frickin deer! It had just jumped over our heads and the car. I turned to my wife and asked if she just saw what happened. She thought I was full of crap until I wouldn't give in. Wow! this could have ended so much worse. Hopefully someone caught it on a dashcam! I still can't believe it.

You and the car were very lucky. Good thing the car is so low. I've seen deer jump fences 6-8 feet tall. Love the color of your 328.

oh wow, I'm so glad you are safe and sound. I've been seeing that many animals and critters have been coming out onto roads more often due to the lockdown. Again, glad to hear you're okay!

Once witnessed a deer spooked by a dog head for a busy roadway and could see this four-door sedan coming at about 35 miles an hour. Thought to myself this isn’t going to be good.. leapt completely over the roof but barely struck it’s hoof which caused it to flip and land on its side in a homeowners lawn. Immediately jumped up and bolted for the woods. Blew my mind.

Good to hear you’re alright. When I lived in upstate New York, I had deer whistles on the front bumper. Simple little plastic cones that animals could hear but humans can’t. Don’t know if they helped, but I never had a deer jump in front of my car.

I had deer once jump out of a hazard, roughly 6' high over 7' wide bridge right in front of me. A deer could easily clear a little ol 328.
