My 2009 F430 Spider was manufactured June 2009 with an assembly number 86623. Trying to get a sense of how close this is to the end run for the F430. Does anyone have a higher assembly number?

Thanks for checking Extreme1 - it will be interesting to see other responses from '09 owners.

I assume the assembly numbers are not sequential or include all cars as there is a 2010 difference between the two and they didn't make that many 2009 430's. I'll try to check mine later today.

There does not seem to be any correlation between the assembly number and units built but rather the order in which they went down the assembly line. The higher the number the later build date. I only base this on what I have read on this forum and I'm certainly open to be corrected.

Assembly number is assigned as a car reaches the assembly line and is irrespective of model. VINs/serial numbers are assigned as part of the ordering process. Depending on option parts availability, it is possible for Ferraris with consecutive serial numbers to have widely spread assembly numbers.

Is it accurate to say the higher the assembly number the "newer" the car?
