    No, not The Colonel.
From my poor memory it is Donald Sleator of Franco-Britannic Autos Ltd.

Ah ok thanks, then I actually met him briefly in Levallois, one old lady friend of my family who was a client of his actually wrote a note when I was about 14 in 1978 so he would let me visit the garage and he just said go ahead.

    Another view.
In the back is Sir Anthony P. Bamford's little house Farley Hall, in Farley, near Oakamoor, Staffordshire.

Oh nice one I see what you did there.
I post/start a thread yesterday with rare vintage ferrari footage from this youtube poster on this section. You even comment on it saying the video was posted a while back.
Then you start a new thread using the other video, lol . Nothing so weird as folk :D

    Engine 07171 went into 330 GT 2+2 #5403.
Chassis 07171 was equipped by David O. Baker with 500 Superfast engine #6345 SF. As you know 6345 SF is the car in which Mr William Tompkins, a farmer in Northamptonshire was killed 2 February 1967 on the A1 highway near Peterborough.
The 500 Superfast wreck was broken up with some of the remains going to Jack Pierce/JAP Engineering, the original engine #6345 SF (internal #42/SA) was later installed in a 275 GTB and then later temporarily installed in 500 Superfast chassis #6661 SF. And then in 07171.

Car 07171 was last seen around 2000 with Tom Walduck (former owner of 750 Monza 0504 M).
    But?

@23:58 in video in lot of Maranello Concessionaires. Could this be 3481GT? Red RHD with roof mounted antenna. Would have still been in UK in 1972.

This thread is an amazing treat thank you Marcel, Steve, those were the days, they were just driven, enjoyed not worth much as opposed to pampered icons in mausoleums today for many of them...

    Marcel,

I notice in third photo, a 330 2+2 with a 1971 Michigan front license plate.

Any idea of the owner at the time, I assume here in Detroit before it went to Europe.

That video brings back memories - thanks for posting. As a young lad in his early teens, I was fortunate enough to have a cousin who regularly campaigned a V8 engined TVR Grantura at Prescott who frequently took me out of school at weekends to go to meetings at Prescott when he was competing. I have four abiding memories of those outings:
    1. The first meeting at which the FOC were officially present - to an impressionable young man, these cars were simply astounding!
    2. A 250 GTO 64, quite possibly the one in the video.
    3. The late Gerry Tyack's Porsche 906 (and his moustache!).
    4. Being given a ride up the hill in the passenger seat of a GT40.
    Happy days!
