Hi guys, Tried looking for old posts but couldn’t find. Can you advise on brake pads? Brembo, Ferrodo,.........any particular pads for street driving? Thank you Peng Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Lots of posts on this subject. For example... https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/opinions-on-best-brake-pads-for-f355.40861/
Check Carid.com for a pretty comprehensive list of brake pads. I see EBC Orange, Blue, Yellow, Red Brembo Sport Stoptech Sport, Street Performance friction offers race pads Then of course: OEM Unfortunately my experience driving my 355 is limited as it's always in repair mode, but from my other cars including a F430, I've never been wronged by a stoptech of PFC pad. The OEM pads from Ferrari wear very quickly (if you ever track the car), so I wouldn't recommend them. I have had issues with the paint coating on the EBC's being too thick preventing movement in an F430 caliper and had to do some rework to get those pads to function properly. There are likely other's I've missed, just going with what I have a bit more personal experience with, and I'd recommend the Stoptech Streets.
I personally stick with the OE Brembos. No issues with me, at least for street driving. Not sure if the Ferodo DS2500's are available for them, if so I'd have no issue using them as well.
