    I found there are 2 types of grease in the OEM provided universal joint cover replacement kit

    one big tube and
    one tiny small tube , pictured

    What is this small tube compound's function?

    I may be wrong but that is probably to reseal the boots prior to clamping. Usually hylomar is a sealant. not a grease.
