The Bugatti type 35B was the first car to have alloy wheels. Its blades were set at a slight angle, pitched like a fan to cool the drum brakes that were integrated into the wheel. Not as efficient as the BBS setup for disc brakes, but way ahead of its time for the 1920s. Although you could change brakes just by simply swapping the wheel, which was even better than later designs. Matt Image Unavailable, Please Login
