    Hi WilyB
Would you tell me where did you order the interior from?
I would like to learn, also what color is your car on the outside? can you post a couple of photos?

    Thanks

Thank you. The guy at the wheel was not even 3 years old when we took delivery of the then new t. He is 33 today. :)

Great Mondial thread, thanks for sharing with us all.

    Quick story about REBUILDING SHOCKS
As soon as I bough and drove the Mondial t, I felt the suspension was hard and the suspension drive mode was not working so I went to visit my friend and mechanical mastermind Steve Maxwell who always tells it like it is, and he said you shocks are bad, you need to have them rebuild and so I said "yes sir"

I contacted Delta Vee via their website and received an immediate message quoting me $1,800 to have them done and estimated turn around time of 90 days... put in my credit card number and saw the charge come through

I sent the shocks via FedEx insured and all. I let 90 days go by and tried to contact them, "radio silence" I could not get anyone on the phone, left plenty of messages and sent a weekly Email but no one ever answer. 7 MONTHS went by without any feedback and as I grew desperate i started sending harsher emails. Finally I sent a very aggressive emails stating that I would hire a lawyer and sue. After ten minutes I received an Email saying that the shocks would be shipped the next day. Finally I received my shocks.

The moral of the story is not to do business with Delta Vee.
Here is the only photo I took form the shocks

I have heard that about those guys numerous times on fchat. My friend used these guys for his Testarossa dampers and had a good experience. Don’t know if they will do our adjustable shocks or not, but I plan on sending mine there eventually.

Yes, in the early '90s. I was going to ship it in a container but my freight forwarder called me with a unique offer to have it flown over for about the same price, so it flew on FedEx airplanes! CDG > CLT > IAD.

Let me know how the car drives with the new shocks. Did you drive it on the old shocks so you can compare?
My shocks actually feel pretty good but I have nothing to compare them to. I know my bushings are shot.

I sure will but it will take a few months to finish the car.
I did drive the car but very little and it was not good, this is what prompted the restoration

Hi everyone, its been sometime since I reported advance on the restoration of my Mondia t
    Just a quick update:
The interior is being worked on with liner out of the car and being prepped for leather.

We were able to open the sunroof and the gear on the motor looks good so I am thinking that the cable may be the part that is not good so if anyone has any experience on this point, please give me your feedback, advice and if you know a place where I can find a replacement.
I think changing the cable would fix the non operating sunroof.

One the very positive side of things, the gauge cluster is all done.

Nice to see another one of my ex's, I remember selling this t coupe to this guy in NY who had no idea what a Ferrari Mondial t was, nonetheless, he bought it and I regretted it shortly after, had great memories in this car. Nice to see it getting the treatment it deserves.

Hello Stephane. sadly the car was very neglected under the ownership of the guy in NY. I was the car on a rainy day and didn't have the time to look at it however now its in Sunny California and I an doing a total restoration, once the car is all sorted out it will be possible the best driver Mondial around.

Do you have anything that belong to the car the I could get from you?
I would love to have all that it once was with the car.

Not sure if this helps, but most of the sunroof parts come out of a 944 Porsche. Not sure if the same cable is used or not.

    Regards,
    Jerry
