Agreed - this is 0838 at the factory after it ran at Reims in July. See the #3 on the attached partial image - identical in size/shape/location. The car then had the windscreen altered and the rear redone. Pedro then drove it at Bridgehampton in September (partial #20 image) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I will bow to your superior knowledge on those. The notes were added by the photographer at the time,

Just stumbled on this photo and had to post it, totally on topic since both were very significant in Ferrari history: Fangio and McQueen, it could only be during filming of Le Mans since he is not known -at least to me to- ever have worn that racing suit type at any other time. Never knew JMF had visited the set and how great to see those two in one photo! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, great photo. But -sorry to say- I can no longer see all of these McQueen photos. McQeen here, McQueen there, McQueen everywhere....! Starts getting boring and: ITS NOT COOL!
Incidentally, I am watching the movie on Netflix... very worthwhile. Outside the car he was a very sharp dresser... just see his duds in that picture with McQueen. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6668212/ john
