    Hard to get a sense of scale, e.g. whether it's more likely a suspension part or an internal door latch part. How thick is the rod and what size are the fastener holes?

    it is 12” long,, approx.

    it came from a lot of 1978 308 GTB
    parts. I do believe you are right.
    looks like a door lock link.
    i’ll research this.
