Can the 458GT3 motor be used in a streetable car?

    Was wondering what are the differences between a 458 GT3 engine and the standard 458 and are those differences such that the 458 GT3 motor could or could not be used in a street car? E.g., if the ECU was tuned for street use, what would be the pros and cons of the GT3 motor?

    Spend a bunch of money to have less HP and a more finicky engine?

    A lot of race motors are built to series rules, and can and often do have less power than street cars.

    It's not that simple which is why I'm hoping some experts may chime in here. My understanding is without the mandated restrictors these motors make 600 hp, i.e., not less hp, but rather, more hp than a 458. In fact, more like Speciale HP

    Wow. At 9000RPMs it is still building more power without a HP fall off.
