The drivers door on my 328 binds on the rubber aperture seal at the front when closing, so there's a certain amount of "spring" to the door when opening.
Are the door hinge brackets adjustable in any way? i.e. to move the door slightly out from the body, not up or down?
Thanks in advance for any help

    don't choke!
put a good quality floor jack (napa, etc.) squarely under the door about 2/3 of the way to the rear of the door.
before elevating the jack, place a thick rug on the jack's lifting pad.
raise the jack until the door reacts.
supposedly this is the accepted method of hinge adjustment in a vertical plain. not lateral.
you might want to consider pulling the hinge pins to verify wear. this causes the misalignment you are referring to.
numerous posts on this subject. i know it sounds extreme

I put new hinge pins on it a while back.
It needs pulling out at the front by a tad, rather than moving up/down .
Do the hinge plate plates to body mounting points have any side ways adjustment?

Have you checked to see if the pinch weld that the rubber sets over is possibly bent outward too much causing the binding? Has the door seal been changed at some point? Would start with the easy things first. I agree with Steve, getting those screws to move might present a challenge.

Here's an update on this and thanks for your comments.
The hinge screws came undone very easily, so I adjusted the door so that the shut line was equal all around and the door was flush with the body when shut, but the door still sprung on the front end of the seal.
At this point i put a piece of 1/2" thick wood between the front door edge and seal then "persuaded" the door to close against it.
Amazingly there is now no "spring" in the door when its opens, and it closes with much less force.
I've been living with this for fifteen years.
Job done in less than one hour!
Thanks in part to the lock down I now have a 328 that doesn't leak oil and the doors shut properly (until the next time....)

Bent the binch weld inwards worked very well on my 328,sagging doors 2X4 under the door and jack up,don't play with the hinges you regret it.i guess you 1\2"wood did the bending for you.
